Rated 1 out of 5 by Peter S from DO NOT PURCHASE WITHOUT BATTERIES! Horrible product labeling. Uses CR123 batteries and does not come with them. The batteries are not readily available in retail stores (bought the safe at Home Depot and the box makes no mention that you need the batteries. Good luck finding them at a grocery store or drugstore. The manufacturer is so worried about returns that they have a huge sticker saying call them at their 800 number before returning the safe but have no giant label saying cones without batteries. What moron at the company doesn’t realize that specifying a highly specialized battery but not including them is a big freaking issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kare from Don't store anything needed in emergency Had my safe a little over 30 days. Had been working fine. Then in an emergency when I had to access documents inside, the door would not open. I entered code and had the green lights indicating I entered correctly but door would not budge. Being a weekend there was no support available from MasterLock but was directed to JustAnswer website. In order to get the answer I had to pay a fee of $54. USD. All they did was send a copy of what is in the safe's owner manual which I already tried. Being an emergent situation where I needed to access these documents I had to pay a locksmith $275USD to come out and literally destroy the safe. This is more than I paid for the safe!! Of course you can't talk to a human when you call Masterlock. Each time I have called wait time is15 minutes!! I am still waiting for a return call.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RTTt from Well built, I can recommend it. Looks good so far. Well built. I took one star off due to the lack of an internal light. But more so for the fact that I will need to open the safe to “dry it out”. It seems that the design incorporates some sort of built in moisture if I understand it correctly, which is probably part of the design. It makes it a bit of an inconvenience to open it once a week or so to make sure my documents don’t get damp. I would have preferred more of a lock and forget design. This is rather awkward.
