Rated 1 out of 5 by Ann2 from Beware shipping We ordered a safe model #SFW205DPB when we opened the box every corner on this safe was dented from sever to bowed sides, top and bottom. The dial even sticks a bit. So, I reported it and the company sent a replacement, same model and the crate was in bad shape so opened it. The replacement was in worse shape than the first. Once again I contacted the company (they have superior customer service agents I want to recognize that). Rather that trying for a 3 safe we opted for a refund. Just so disappointed in the condition of these safes and shipping altogether.

I chose the dual key/dial combination model fireproof safe that can be anchored to the floor (though it’s so heavy it required a dolly to move it anywhere). It’s a SOLID unit that would discourage anyone from attempting to crack it or remove it. After some research in the distinction between fire “proof” and fire “resistant” I went with the one that was described as fire PROOF. My unit came with a movable plastic tray and a good sized bin as well as 3 moisture absorbing packs that can be ordered separately if needed and I was advised to open the door for occasional airing to protect paper documents from moisture buildup. NOTE: Unlike as indicated in the owner’s manual, the safe arrived ALREADY locked with the keys inside, causing some confusion and requiring initial assistance from customer service. (Easily remedied.) But not all models are shipped that way. That aside, I am quite satisfied with my purchase and fully expect it to work exactly as described.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bob CR from Replacement of digital safe with the dial type The box came in with water damage, safe seems ok. The handle does not seem to catch the mechanism properly and we need to play with it to open the safe. This is the same reason we tossed the old one, but we thought it was us. It may be a lack of attention to choosing quality parts and monitoring the assembly process with tight tolerances. We will see if it gets worse or "heals" up.

Also, I feel there should have been a space in all 4 corners and 4 bolts for more security. What happens if the handle breaks, because again I feel that it's a cheap plastic handle. And get rid of the clicking when turning the dial.
