Rated 5 out of 5 by Rob2300 from It simply works I just bought this yesterday and was very happy with the price. I feel it's a good value for the money. It's a basic safe and roomy enough for the important things I have to secure. I wasn't at all concerned with it being water resistant but the fire resistance is a nice thing to have. I would have thought the locking bolts would have been on both sides of the door to secure it better considering that the door hinge is external and exposed, but I suppose one can only expect so much from a safe at this price point. Overall I am very happy with this safe and would recommend it for a basic home application.

Rated 5 out of 5 by rochrunner from Great safe for personal home use This safe replaces a similar one that we had for 10 years before the door failed, but that seemed to be such a fluke that we decided to get another one as much like it as possible. We really like the removable drawer, which is very nice for storing small loose items like credit cards, rings, passports, etc. The drawer in this one is also much easier to get in and out than on the older safe where it was somewhat of a battle. We also like having an "old fashioned" combination lock so we don't have to depend on batteries to get into it when necessary.

The reason I took one star away is because the handle and rim around the dial is plastic. Quality would be enhanced if this was metal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by PattyP from Not exactly as expected. When I ordered this safe, I thought you could use the key to open the door and override the dial. ( not explained well on the store's web site ) It's a secondary lock to work with the dial. I also think the handle is pretty flimsy and with some pressure I feel it could break easily. I had the safe delivered and watched the Fed-Ex guy drop it from the back of his truck so I have a very small ding in the one corner of the safe.

My only concern is the exterior lock handle. Seems to bend a bit when opening or closing door. I am concerned with extended use, handle will break off and I'll be unable to open door.

Really???, why it was nover mention in the troubelshoting section, Now i have to fix it myself follow the instruction they sent me. Have no clue how
