Now, if it provides a safe storage unit in the case of a tragedy which I hope never happens my final review of the product may never be written. For now all is GOOD!

    Rated 4 out of 5 by cec2 from Fire protection but hard to open & lock or unlock This was a gift to me for storing important documents such as insurance policies, will, POA, etc. in case of fire and also to keep them in one place and easy to find should something happen to me. The interior space is limited but will hold those documents, although larger papers may need to be folded. Photos could be stored on a thumb drive or a few other small objects secured. The body of the safe is heavy and seems sturdy, although I have some concerns about both the latch and the lock and keys. I like that it has a latch that closes it even if it isn't locked with a key. Many similar sized safes don't have that feature and can't be closed without also locking them. I deducted a star because the latch is hard to latch and harder to unlatch, even when heavily pressing down on the lid. Also, sometimes neither of the keys will rotate in the lock, so I never lock it because I'm afraid it couldn't be unlocked later. I'm lucky to be able to simply unlatch the latch, but I don't have strong hands. Its main purpose is for fire and water protection, although if locked it would help deter casual nosiness or "sticky fingers" from accessing the contents. Hopefully it would work as intended in a fire, but it could be easier to unlatch, latch, lock, and unlock. Also, the latch is plastic and with the amount of force it takes to unlatch it, I'm concerned that it might break if used often. Overall it does serve its purpose well and I like it, although I wish it were a little easier to open and close and I had more confidence that the keys would always work.

Keeps all the important papers that I want to keep with me at all times especially during NorCal fire season. I feel the safe is secure and it's light enough to carry with me. I have no complaints.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by Zachary from Great! But could be a tiny bigger on the inside. It seems really durable, but the handle latch to open it seems like it could be more sturdy. It perfectly fits an 8.5x11 piece of paper, so it is good for that size documents and smaller, but it doesn't fit the 9x12 manilla envelopes unless you bend a 1/2" on the 9" side.
