Heavy, but manageable.
I mostly like the capacity. X large. Room to grow. Tray is bonus. Door is nice. Dual lock is a nice touch. Electric keypad is a distraction from the real intention of a safe. Security. Batteries? Wires? This is a lure of a "coolness factor" for those who easily take bait. A good combination lock, with key, is the best method.
Here's what I wish you would manufacture. Keep the safe looking great by all black. Charge extra $50.00 dollars and make the combination dial, lock mechanism, and handle out of steel. Keep the tray,maybe add one.
That would definitely keep me a loyal customer. Thanks for listening.

Seems sturdier than it feels at first touch
It seems to have a little more plastic than I would like to see on a security safe, however the tubular key and combo setup are well designed and usage seems easy enough. There is a little more leeway in the combination dial than I would like, but I suppose when you get something at a discounted price, it is a little easier to understand any shortcomings. If you're looking for something secure but not too bulky, this gets the job done quite well. It is light enough for one person to haul around empty, so it would be a good idea to bolt it down with the provided bolts. I also installed a tap light that uses a sticky magnet to mount to the inside of the safe.

Quality not what it used to be
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for a family member. As with many things these days, Sentry quality is not what it used to be. I own 2 Sentry safes (non-fire rated), both of which are 20-25 years old, and are of decent quality. The newest purchase arrived with the door dented, and white adhesive smeared all over the exterior surface of the door and handle. The door handle and mechanical dial feel cheap and flimsy. Door is very difficult to latch and unlatch, and the handle feels as if it may break during this process. Overall, the entire unit feels cheap. I guess you get what you pay for. Highly disappointed, would not recommend.

Safe model: Combination w/ Key
We like the this model safe alot. It's durable, thick, and heavy but not so much that one person can't maneuver it around with the right technique. Why we gave it a four star is because the handle mechanism is rather particular. If it is not aligned the dial knob will not turn or at least with out resistance. However other than that everything else appears to work [we've only had it a month] and it seems to fit the needs we were looking for. States its water and fireproof, it was one of our focal points, hope we never have to find out the hard way.
[Side note: space was larger than we anticipated, a plus for us].

NEED NEW CODE
We've actually had the safe for several months and just now got it out of the box and started to use it. Most has been good when I was able to open it but my toddler son closed the door with the code inside so now I don't have access to open it. I need a need code number. I also noticed when turning the dial there is a small glitch/tick/catch in the dial, in that I mean that as I'm turning the dial it will sometimes hits a rough spot and stops me from turning it. I hope its a temporary glitch, I've not used it enough to know if its going to be a consistent problem or not. It's worth me noting this. How do I go about getting another code?

Secure
So far I'm satisfied with our purchase , seems to be built pretty good . Has enough room for all our important items we wanted to protect . Little disappointed in that the dial seems to be made of plastic , I expected something better from Sentry Safe. Found out after throwing out the trash that should have kept the desiccant bag , thought it was for shipping purposes only , now I have to find out where I can purchase them so I can put inside safe . Do like the double lock , combination and key .

Solid, strong safe, appears secure
This safe is the perfect size for my important documents and other items that need to be securely stored. I reviewed many safes extensively, concerned for both flood protection/water infiltration and fire protection. Ultimately, this was my choice, which should serve my needs.
It was easy to set in place (at 100 pounds). I chose not to bolt it to the floor since my home has a monitored alarm system. I was more concerned for water and fire damage. The combination/key set up works flawlessly.

Good safe
Great size to store important documents for security, fire & water protection. However, the safe I had delivered from Home Depot came with a dent on the side. I did not want to go through the exercise of returning and then replacing the safe - I am hoping that the fire and water protection has not been compromised! I do like the extra security of having a key besides the tumbler lock. I went this way since I had read that the digital locks can be rather easily overcome with the use of magnets. So I feel more secure with the tumbler/key combination.
I also own another sentry safe which has been outstanding!
