Headquartered in Rochester, NY, Sentry Group was founded as the John D. Brush & Company over 75 years ago.
The Sentry Group headquarters as it stands today—though our building’s “shell” remains in tact, our complex has modernized and expanded and will continue to do so as our business evolves.
While this photo shows our plant and how Sentry Group used to manufacture safes “way back when,” it still reflects the use of modern technology for that time.

Commitment to innovation is one of the cornerstones of Sentry Group’s heritage. When this safe was sold it was in the 60s, it was modern for the times!
As our customers’ protection needs have changed over the years, so have our products. Sentry Group continues to bring to market products based on customer feedback that incorporate the latest technologies and design innovations.
DEAR SENTRY SAFE,In the early morning hours of March 27, 2004 we were awakened by my wife's parents because we had a phone call telling us that our home had burned. When we arrived back home we found a devastating site--our beautiful lake home had burned to the ground. Several years earlier I received a Sentry®Safe Model 1310 as a gift.
