If I was to have bought this for the full price I think I would not be happy with the buy. Good is the size, it seems quite robust and though not primarily for security, more for safety for fire the unit seems well built for this. The bad, the dial and handle on unit seem quite cheap. They are made from plastic and worried the handle may break sometimes. I should refrain from customer service but in this case, I did email asking a question and never got a response. Overall, again price i paid it is a bargain, but if full RRP I would consider other options

The only concern I have is that the plastic combination dial is lopsided in its frame, but not loose or broken. I don't believe it was damaged in delivery and I didn't want to have to go through the return process because of the weight (90 lbs.), so we're going to use it, with fingers crossed. I am able to turn the dial easily and I opened and closed it many times before I felt confident that it would work consistently and not hang up. From other reviews I've read, I knew many parts would be plastic. Sadly, in these times we no longer expect "brand new" to mean "in perfect condition." This includes prominent names like Sentry Safe.

On Oct. 6, 2022, my Service dog pulled me out of a deep sleep and helped get me and my husband out safely. We lost everything, except our lives(most important) and what we were wearing. It was a five alarm fire we watched our home burn for three hours. Our Safe survived, with ALL of our appraisals, COAs, documents etc. I kept receipts for everything I ever bought over the years. With the contents dry and safe(safe has been moved and with me for over 10 years) we had no trouble proving our losses. If you take CARE of a GREAT product, it will take care of you!! Getting all six of my grown children one for Christmas this year!! Thanks Sentury!!

    Rated 4 out of 5 by Shake720 from Solid safe For the money i think you can not beat this safe it has a lot of room and is set up nicely, the combo dial is easy to use and set up well, the only issue i have is the handle for the door feels cheap it’s plastic and im worried that if someone was trying to get into the safe that the handle is the weak point or that it could just break with enough pressure when trying to open it if a wrong combination is entered. Other than the handle i think for the money and the features it has you cant beat this model.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by MrsJH from Strong and secure safe We have our fishing knives in it cause we have a 3 yr old. I registered this safe years ago. We bought it in 2011 or so maybe 2013 not sure. It was a long time ago. It's always been a pain to open nut thts good plus we dont get in it often so it's hard to remember how to do it. Now I do like the videos helped me figure it out esp after I found the manual for the correct combination. I had 2 numbers right but we had the first number wrong so good to know it doesnt work unless they r right.
